Imaginative title, huh?

I haven't paid much attention to my nails recently, putting on a colour when I can be bothered/have time but not really spending any time on them. Tonight I went back to my old favourite, leopard print.

Please excuse the disgusting state of my little finger :( I have a terrible habit, I know!

I used Barry M Nail Paints in Lemon Ice Cream and Grey. The black is Collection 2000 Extreme Felt Tip Liner.

Looking at these reminds me so much of giraffe print rather than leopard. I really should have used mushroom instead of grey! Ah well, at least I have plans for next time :)

I also bought these two rings at the weekend. They were £3.99 each from H&M. I've seen quite a few turquoise rings in this style recently but this one's my favourite. I've been looking for H&M animal rings since I saw a set on a few blogs ages ago, which I never did find :(

Speaking of H&M, did anyone else recieve their Summer catalogue recently? I love so much in it! What did you all think?

what's in my bag?

I've seen a few 'what's in my bag' posts recently. I don't think my bag is particularly interesting but I love these sort of posts and I know a lot of others do too so thought I'd do my own.

There are no photos of the actual bag but click here to see a post on it.

The inside

Everything dumped out

Really interesting (!) pile of receipts, some out of date vouchers and a shopping list.

My wallet, which was from Peacocks years ago. My cat coin purse (which i love!) was from Forever 21 when I visited the US.

Inside my wallet. Debit card, loyalty cards, libary card, driving license, and a pressed cent from the Washington DC Zoo - which by the way is awesome, and free!
(I'm actually on the lookout for a new wallet but I'm really picky about the layout of it - what I have is perfect but I can't seem to find anything similar that I also like the design of! Any suggestions?)

Filofax from WH Smith. Got it in their sale and it was pretty bargainous when you consider how much they usually cost! Notepad is from paperchase. Assorted pens are also from WH Smith.

Lip products, L-R: MUA, Natural Collection in Coral Shimmer, Boots own Spearmint lip balm, MUA, MAC Pink Friday. The MUAs are shades 6 and 7, but I took the lids off of both at the same time to compare on the day I got them, and ever since I've not known if they have the right lid on them. Clever!

Black ring from Primark, cat(?) ring from Forever 21 US (this is a terrible photo of it, you can see a better picture in this post). I'm guessing I've taken these off while out at some point and just never bothered to put them away! Kylie Minogue Sexy Darling perfume, love this, it's my second bottle! Also really like her Sweet Darling one too :) Brooch was actually from a 99p shop, and I really like it. It was on my wallet but came off and I haven't put it back on yet.

Practical/health stuff. Nothing too interesting here.

3D glasses from when we went to see The Green Hornet, which was ages ago! I fell asleep during that film so that's enough of a review on it :P (it was actually an okay film I was just shattered!) Mirror is from a shop near me called Reba, they have a website here but only 1 store I believe.

And thats all! I know it's not exciting, but thats what I carry round with me :) Have you done a what's in my bag post? Link me, I love reading them!

models own - smash up

I wouldn't usually post about new collections etc but I'm really excited about this one!

Models Own are teaming up with WAH nails bringing out a range of coloured crackle polishes!

I've only got 1 Models Own polish (see this post) but I love it, and I'm really excited for this collection! I have the Barry M Nail Effects and really like it but have always thought it would be great in other colours so I think this collection is brilliant. I especially want to try the bright turquoise one and the purple one, and think most (if not all) of these will look great with a matte top coat.

These polishes will cost £6 each (so just £1 more than their standard polishes), and the Black and Silver will be in Boots stores from April 20th. The rest of the colours will be available online from April via

Click here to read the Models Own blog post about the collection for more information

What do you think of this collection? Will you be buying any of these?

Different location today, how exciting!

Today we threw a surprise 80th birthday party for my Nanna, and I had a really nice time. She didn't have a clue and seemed to enjoy it which was good :) This is what I wore:

Sorry for my disgusting thumb!

Shirt, tights, jacket, ring & bag: all Primark
Skirt: H&M
Bracelet: New Look
Necklace: gift
Shoes: Peacocks

This is the jacket I wanted to show in my haul post but didn't. I'm wearing it without the shearling collar all the time at the moment, I think the collar is better for more wintery outfits/weather. You can't really tell but the tights have little spots all over them. They're also a very pale grey colour, my legs aren't that white!

Aside from the party today, yesterday we went to see Battle Los Angeles (definitely recommended!) and then went out for a meal and drinks in the evening, which I felt a little this morning!
Hope you've all had a good weekend! What have you been up to?

primark haul

I took part in my own Frugal February where the basic rules were that I wasn't going to go shopping or generally buy clothes/makeup/etc during the month. I stuck to it pretty well, bought a dress which someone later said they'd buy for me anyway and that was it.

So as soon as March came around I was dying to go to Primark. You may have picked up that I have pretty cheap taste, I'm a big fan of Primark and the majority of my clothes are from there. I've always found them to be pretty decent quality for me, so for the price I can't see why I'd shop in places like Topshop (although sometimes I wish I had the budget to!).

With the amount I managed to spend in Primark and the fact that I'm reeeeeeally wanting to buy my new car asap, I think I'm going to have a bit of a frugal March too! So many birthdays this month - 5 just off the top of my head! - so I've got lots of things that need money spending on them anyway!

I thought I'd do a haul post to show what I got. Some of this is on hangers rather than on me, generally because I just couldn't get it to look good on camera on me at the moment. But I'm sure you can get the idea. I'll also apologise now for any awful creases on anything, a few of these bits have been worn before taking these photos.

A lot of these items were bought with my holiday in mind - I'm off to sunny Spain in June - yay! Having only ever left England once on my trip to Washington, I've never really experienced the super hot weather I'm expecting in Spain, so my wardrobe was a little unprepared.

Aaaaaanyway....the photos! Sorry for rambling so much!

I got these two shirts, I really like all the shirts that I've seen on blogs at the moment and loved these two colours. One's two sizes bigger than the other but I think with this style of shirt that looks fine!

Sorry, this picture is awful! These trousers would not co-operate. I think these are called peg leg trousers? I'm not sure, and they're totally not my style but they were one of the things I set out looking for. Yes, this choice may be a little trend led but I'd never buy anything purely because it's 'trendy', I only buy stuff I also like! I also bought the belt in this picture too, although I know the bow doesn't really go. This actually came with a brown ropey type 'leather' belt but I couldn't find it at the time :(

This blue vest was a bit hard to photograph but it has a diagonal hem and is pretty sheer, with some sort of pattern to it.

Sundresses - I bought a blue polka dot version of this last year and really liked these two prints - horses were an obvious choice and I think the shape print (I don't know what to call it!) is really different and I think the colour will look good on me.

I love this skirt, I don't think it's photographed very well but the ribbon around the waist lets the top of the skirt sort of flare out, I think the style is called paperbag? I just think it's really pretty and not tight fitting so should be nice and cool in the summer.

I've got into the habit of having a handbag now (see this post) but some days I feel silly carrying a big bag around when all I'm ever going to need from it is my purse. Cue this smaller bag. Another neutral shade so hopefully won't clash with anything, I'm thinking this will be especially useful on holiday.

I really like the 'ropey' style bracelets I'm seeing a lot of at the moment. I actually saw some in the men's section as I was walking out, but alas, this one will do!

Animals, need I say more?

All my scarves are big woolly things so I was looking for a thinner scarf that would be more of an accessory but also keep me a little warmer. I love the pattern of this!

I think this belt is really cute, but I don't often wear waisted belts (which this is) so will have to find more ways to wear them!

I also bought a black faux leather jacket with a detachable shearling collar, which I know I'm a bit late to the party on but I love it and I really needed a black leather jacket. Haven't got any photos of it yet but I'm hoping to get some photos of the oufit I have planned for a party on Sunday where I intend to wear it, so hopefully you'll see it soon!

What do you think of my buys? Are you a Primark fan too? Sorry for such a wordy post!

glamour magazine & clinique

I'm sure most of you have seen posts everywhere about this, and I know I'm late, but I believe this promotion will run for the whole month so it's not too late!

For their 10th anniversary Glamour magazine have teamed up with Clinique to offer a range of 10 free gifts when you buy the April copy of the magazine. You can find a list of the products you can get here.

My local Tesco didn't have the products I wanted most, but I will be on the lookout if I go to any others. My store had lots of both the moisturisers, quite a few of both lipglosses, and a few mascaras and lipsticks. I got both moisturisers and the lipstick, as I've got enough mascaras and I don't really like the stickiness of lipglosses.

I like the lipstick, although I'm not 100% about it on my skintone, but I do like the colour. It's got a really pretty gold shimmer in it which hopefully you can see. I will say though that it didn't last very long at all on me - probably around 2 hours. I'm disappointed with the packaging too, it's not what the promo pictures showed it to be, and is nowhere near as nice!

I wouldn't say the moisturisers are anything amazing, maybe cause I don't have the right skin type to really benefit from them. I've found myself reaching for the gel one over the cream though, I just think it feels nicer.

I really want to try the facial products - specifially the scrub, wash and makeup remover. Anybody tried them? If so, what are your thoughts? Should I continue my hunt?

Did you get anything from this promotion? What do you think of it?
