models own - disco inferno

Hi everyone!

Long time no post! I have another nail post for you today. I was lucky enough to win the giveaway that Sarah from Try My Hand was holding a month or so ago :D I was so happy to win, so thanks again Sarah! I have a few posts planned with some of the different polishes I won, and today is the first; Models Own - Disco Inferno.

Models Own - Disco Inferno

This was released with the Mirrorball collection recently. I will be honest, some of the swatches of the collection that I saw didn't really excite me. But having this polish in person makes me appreciate it much more!

I love this photo! I was trying to focus on the brush but I actually really like that I got this shot :) I think it shows the different coloured glitter perfectly; gold, green, and a sort of reddy golden colour - very festive!

This is the shot I was trying to get, although I prefer the above now! But I think this shows the amount of glitter that comes onto the brush each time, and also shows the different sizes of glitter a bit better. I am actually much more impressed with this than I thought I would be. I thought the bigger bits of glitter would be a bit awkward to get to lay flat and would look a bit of a mess, but it actually works really well :)

And here's how it looks on the nails. This is just one coat, as you can see it's quite good coverage really, but at the same time I don't think I would want much more than this. I don't think I'd like this to wear as a full glitter nail though; I quite like that you can see all the different sizes and colours of glitter individually, and I really like how it looks on a dark background.

Overall I'm super happy I got the chance to try this, as from what I'd seen I don't think I would have bought it myself. But now I've seen it and enjoyed using it, I'm very tempted by the other polishes in the collection.

Do you have any polishes from the Mirrorball collection? Which would you recommend?

Hope you liked!
